For the second year in a row, Honda’s Week of Service helps communities all across the country. More than 20,000 volunteers came together to help do the work of local charitable organizations.
From June 9-18, there were 450 group activities spread throughout 43 states, along with Canada and Mexico. Those events included activities like blood drives, adopt-a-pet events, food drives, home repairs, beach clean-ups, and more.
Altogether, the teams collected from than 54 tons of food, served more than 162,000 meals, collected almost 1,000 bags of trash, donated nearly 700 pints of blood, and collected more than 11,000 health kits.
“We are so proud of our associates and business partners who took time out to help improve the lives of people in their communities,” said Jeffrey Smith, Vice President, North American Corporate Communications for Honda North America, Inc. “This week shows what can happen when a team of people come together to make a difference.”
